Aldesa will build a new section of the S17 motorway in Poland for an amount exceeding €153 million (PLN 658.6 million). Poland’s General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has considered the bid submitted by the consortium formed by Aldesa Construcciones Polska Sp. and Aldesa Construcciones, S.A. to be the most advantageous among the 11 proposals received.
Specifically, Aldesa will carry out the design and construction of a 16.6-kilometer section between Piaski and Łopiennik, in the southeast of the country. The route will follow a new alignment along the current National Road No. 17, starting from the Piaski Wschód interchange, which will be rebuilt to connect the S17 with the S12 at the Piaski–Dorohusk junction. In addition, three road interchanges will be constructed at Piaski Południe, Fajsławice, and Łopiennik.
The contract also includes the implementation of a traffic management system, the construction of drainage infrastructure, and the installation of lighting and environmental protection measures—such as noise barriers and wildlife crossings.
With more than 50 years of global experience in the infrastructure sector, Aldesa reinforces its position as a benchmark in Poland with this award. Notably, in July 2023, the company signed in the country the largest contract in its history by value: the expansion of the Olefins petrochemical complex for Orlen, worth €442.6 million (approximately PLN 1.974 billion). Returning to the road sector, also for GDDKiA, the company is a contractor on the S74, S19, S6, and S7 motorways. The latter, currently under construction on the Płońsk–Czosnów section, is valued at €124 million (PLN 563 million).
