The event marks the start of works to upgrade, manage, and maintain 299.2 kilometers of departmental roads in the southern region of the country.
On the occasion of the start of works on Feeder Road Corridor No. 42, a symbolic foundation stone–laying ceremony was held in the district of Huanuara, in the province of Candarave, in the Tacna region (Peru), where one of the project’s most representative sections will be carried out.
The event was attended by Peru’s Minister of Transport and Communications, Raúl Pérez Reyes, the Regional Governor of Tacna, Luis Torres Robledo, and various local authorities.
Awarded to Aldesa for an amount of €74.9 million (approximately 290 million Peruvian soles), the project includes the improvement, management, and maintenance of 299.2 kilometers of departmental roads across the provinces of Tacna, Jorge Basadre, Candarave, and Tarata. This initiative forms part of the Proregión program, promoted by the Ministry of Transport and Communications through Provías Descentralizado, and financed by the Inter-American Development Bank.
Over the next five years, Aldesa will carry out roadway surface improvements, drainage works, routine and periodic maintenance, emergency road response, and capacity building for local road management. All of this aims to improve connectivity, reduce logistics costs, and contribute to the economic and social development of more than 240,000 people in the region.
With this project, Aldesa strengthens its strategic positioning in Peru, where it is also currently managing a section of Road Corridor No. 41 and advancing the construction of the Pardo 200 complex, a mixed-use development in the Miraflores district of Lima. The company thus continues to reinforce its presence in Latin America through sustainable infrastructure that transforms the environment and generates a positive impact on communities.
