Aldesa has signed a contract valued at €189.5 million (PLN 810 million) for the construction of a section of the S17 motorway in Lublin, eastern Poland. With this new project awarded by Poland’s General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA), Aldesa reinforces its presence in the country, where it has been operating for nearly two decades and has become a benchmark in the execution of infrastructure projects that contribute to connectivity and economic development.
The new section will be approximately 16 kilometers long and will link Piaski with Łopiennik, forming part of the Piaski–Hrebenne corridor. The new stretch will run parallel to the existing National Road No. 17. In addition, as part of the project scope, the Piaski Wschód interchange will be reconstructed to connect the S17 with the S12 Piaski–Dorohusk route, along with the construction of three new interchanges: Piaski Południe, Fajsławice, and Łopiennik.
Regarding the technical features of the new roadway, it will include two lanes in each direction, service roads, a drainage system, and lighting at the interchanges. Environmental protection measures—such as noise barriers and wildlife crossings—will also be installed, together with an advanced traffic management system. All these measures are aimed at optimizing traffic flow and enhancing road safety in the area.
Aldesa, present in Poland since 2007, has successfully completed more than 60 projects in the country. It is currently the general contractor for the S19 Krosno–Miejsce Piastowe route, railway line 38 Ełk–Korsze, and the Orlen OSBL project in Płock, among others. The latter, awarded in 2023, is to date the largest contract in the company’s history by value, amounting to €442.6 million (approximately PLN 1.974 billion), and involves the expansion of the Olefins petrochemical complex
