Aldesa has been awarded a new contract in Peru valued at €74.9 million (290 million Peruvian soles). The company will take on the management, upgrading, and maintenance of 299.2 kilometers of Road Corridor No. 42 in the Tacna region, in the south of the country. The project, financed by the Inter-American Development Bank, is included in the Proregión Development Plan promoted by the Ministry of Transport and Communications through its operating unit, Provías Descentralizado.
This plan, whose scope extends across the Andean country, aims to establish a highly competitive regional freight transport system linking agricultural production centers with the main logistics corridors of Peru’s cities and ports.
Over the next five years, Aldesa will carry out the preparation and approval of the Road Management Plan, the upgrading and conservation of bridges, and the management of the improved section. It is estimated that more than 20,000 people in the area will benefit from these works, which will result in reduced transport times and costs, as well as improved road safety.
With this project, Aldesa continues to strengthen its presence in Latin America. In Peru, the company is currently managing a section of Road Corridor No. 41 and finalizing the construction of the Pardo 200 Building, a mixed-use complex comprising two towers with offices and a hotel, 17 stories high with a rooftop, located in the heart of the Miraflores district in Lima. In Mexico, Aldesa operates and maintains the Tuxtla Gutiérrez–San Cristóbal de las Casas toll highway (46.5 km) and the Arriaga–Ocozocoautla toll highway (93 km). In Chile, in 2021, it was awarded the contract for operation services, toll system maintenance, intelligent systems, and user services for the 195-kilometer Ruta 5 Talca–Chillán highway.
