Aldesa secures the management and maintenance of 380 kilometers of Road Corridor No. 41 in Peru for €128 million

Aldesa has been awarded in Peru the management, upgrading, and maintenance of a total of 380 kilometers of Road Corridor No. 41 as it passes through the department of Moquegua, in the south of the country, for approximately €128 million (518 million Peruvian soles). The company has secured two major contracts included in the Proregión Plan, promoted by the Ministry of Transport and Communications through its operating unit, Provías Descentralizado. This program aims to establish a highly competitive regional freight transport system linking agricultural production centers with the main logistics corridors of Peru’s cities and ports.

Specifically, Aldesa has been awarded Road Contract No. 41 Sector A (€62.8 million) and Road Contract No. 41 Sector B (€65.1 million), for the management, upgrading, and maintenance of two sections measuring 189 and 191 kilometers in length, respectively. With a six-year timeframe, the company will carry out works to improve road conditions and traffic flow, paving, bridge maintenance, emergency response and repair services, and vehicle weight control, among other key activities.

It is expected that more than 7,000 residents in the area will benefit from these actions, which will result in a substantial improvement in road safety as well as reduced transport times and costs.

With more than 50 years of experience in the infrastructure sector, Aldesa adds two significant references to its Latin American portfolio with these new contracts. Other notable projects include the operation and maintenance of the Tuxtla Gutiérrez–San Cristóbal de las Casas toll highway (46.5 km) and the Arriaga–Ocozocoautla toll highway (93 km) in Chiapas (Mexico); operation services, toll system maintenance, intelligent systems, and user services for 195 kilometers of the Ruta 5 Talca–Chillán highway in Chile; and, back in Peru, the construction of the Pardo 200 Building, a complex comprising two 17-story towers located in the heart of the Miraflores district in Lima, which is still under construction.
