The bidding committee of the Ministry of Transport, after evaluating a dozen offers submitted for the tender, has awarded Aldesa the project to upgrade and reorganize the accesses to the N-340 road as it passes through Oropesa (Castellón).
The project, which will have an execution period of 30 months, will be strategic for the area as it will improve traffic flow and the mobility of local residents, as well as strengthen road safety, mobility, and, above all, the connection with the AP-7 motorway to boost development throughout the region.
This project carried out by Aldesa mainly involves a 6-kilometer stretch, expanding the roadway with 3.5-meter lanes, 2.5-meter shoulders, and minimum berms of 1.5 meters, as well as reordering access to adjacent properties to eliminate direct access to the N-340. Additionally, three new strategic interchanges will be created and improved: La Renegá, Oropesa, and the connection with the AP-7 toll road.
The execution of this project will aim to be efficient and sustainable, making the most of the existing layout so that the final works achieve the ultimate goal of positively impacting the road safety and mobility of the inhabitants of Castellón province.
