For the second year in a row, CAS has been recognized with the Socially Responsible Company (ESR) distinction, an award granted by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI) that highlights companies’ commitment to sustainability, business ethics, and positive community impact.
In this edition, CAS achieved an average score of 3.6225, representing an increase of 0.7975 points compared to the previous year and standing 1.1725 points above the other accredited entities (915 in total). The company excelled in all four areas evaluated—environmental, social, governance, and global context—consolidating its position as a benchmark in its industry and within the large-company sector in Mexico.
Key Advances in Sustainability and Responsible Management
This year, the global evaluation context shifted from measuring the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic to focusing on Social Leadership and Digital Ethics, areas in which CAS demonstrated strong performance.
To achieve these results, the company implemented a strategic work plan launched in July 2024, with the active participation of CAS department heads. As part of the process, 18 comparative reports covering three consecutive years were prepared to reach development level 4, in addition to generating new evidence required by CEMEFI. Progress was also made toward level 5 certifications in sustainability and quality processes, such as ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and EDGE.
With this new recognition, CAS reaffirms its commitment to corporate social responsibility and continues to promote initiatives that generate a positive impact on its employees, clients, and the community.
Leadership in the Transport Sector
Aldesa is the reference shareholder of CAS, a concessionaire in which Ainda, Energía & Infraestructura, also holds a stake. CAS is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Tuxtla Gutiérrez–San Cristóbal de las Casas toll highway (46.5 km) and the Arriaga–Ocozocoautla toll highway (93 km), in the state of Chiapas (Mexico). These are two of the main transport corridors in Chiapas, handling approximately 12 million toll transactions per year.
Grupo Aldesa’s concession area in Latin America also includes other road infrastructure projects, such as the 195-kilometer Ruta 5 Talca–Chillán highway in Chile.
