The President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, accompanied by the Governor of Hidalgo, Julio Menchaca Salazar, and several municipal authorities, visited the construction works of the Real del Monte–Huasca highway in the state of Hidalgo. Aldesa is involved in the construction of two of the tunnels along the route of the new roadway, which forms part of the federal Pachuca–Huejutla highway.
The longer tunnel, known as Vicente-Guerrero, has a length of 648 meters of mined tunnel (700 meters in total including cut-and-cover sections). Located at kilometer point 16+440, it will accommodate four traffic lanes, each 3.50 meters wide. The Omitlán tunnel, for its part, extends from kilometer point 17+178 to 17+800. With a length of 435 meters of mined tunnel (489 meters in total including cut-and-cover sections), it will also accommodate four traffic lanes, each 3.50 meters wide. Both projects include hydraulic concrete pavement, horizontal and vertical signage, drainage works, electrical installations, ventilation systems, and ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems), among other key infrastructure works. This progress on the Real del Monte–Huasca highway represents a significant boost to connectivity and regional development.
