Execution of widening works to add a third lane along 29 km of the Tuxtla Gutiérrez–San Cristóbal de las Casas section, including the upgrading and modernization of three runaway truck ramps, the widening of four bridges, and improvements to nine grade-separated crossings. The project also included the construction of the San Cristóbal access interchange, the upgrading of the Tierra y Libertad interchange, and roadway improvements at km 72 of the Arriaga–Ocozocoautla section.
