Complementary works for the new Levante high-speed rail access on the Madrid–Castilla-La Mancha–Valencian Community–Region of Murcia corridor. Section: Accesses to Alicante. Phase II, Northern Section. The project includes works aimed at optimizing the functionality and safety of the approaches to Alicante station within the Levante high-speed rail corridor. The works comprise the removal of a level crossing between Santo Domingo and Ausó y Monzó streets, the installation of overhead catenary equipment for operation on the Iberian-gauge network, works within the station itself, and the development of a new parking area. The project strengthens the urban integration of the railway infrastructure, improves rail operations and contributes to the modernization of the transport hub, enhancing Alicante’s connectivity with the rest of the high-speed rail network.
