Construction project for Soto Sur station, part of the Madrid Cercanías commuter rail network, located in the municipality of Soto del Real. The project was awarded to Aldesa through our railway subsidiary Coalvi, for a contract value of €15.2 million. The new station will serve the extension of the C-4b line in the north of the Community of Madrid, providing a sustainable connection between local communities and the capital.
The works include the construction of new tracks, platforms with canopies and an underpass, a new café building, landscaped areas and a 513-space car park. In addition, road access will be upgraded and the cycle lane reinstated to promote clean and integrated mobility. As part of our commitment to preserving the environment and heritage surrounding our projects, we will restore and modernise the historic 1955 passenger building, preserving its architectural value while improving accessibility and functionality and incorporating solar energy systems and natural ventilation.
