The project consists of the construction of a 200-metre-long tunnel on the Palenque–Ocosingo section of the Palenque–San Cristóbal de las Casas highway, in the state of Chiapas, Mexico. The project will be carried out by Grupo Aldesa in Mexico together with Constructora de Caminos Chiapas and Consorcio de Ingenieros Constructores y Consultores. The works will include the construction of tunnel portals, earthworks, drainage works, paving, and electrical and lighting installations, among other works.
