Comprehensive renewal of the track infrastructure and superstructure on Madrid Metro Line 1, Atocha–Valdecarros section. The works include the complete replacement of rails, sleepers and track equipment, the modernisation of electrification systems through the installation of rigid overhead catenary, and the upgrading of ventilation and pumping shafts. he project also includes civil works at stations, modifications to platform edges, improvements to drainage and sewerage systems, and the implementation of anti-vibration measures. Complementary works are also being carried out on signalling, communications and fire protection systems, together with the provision of bus stops and the reinstatement of pavements in public areas. The project aims to improve the reliability and safety of the line, reduce maintenance costs and enhance the overall travel experience for passengers.
